Inspire

Hello everyone,

Have you ever been inspired by somebody that overcame obstacles big or small? Yes, we have all been inspired by somebody that rose above some kind of obstacle. So where am I going with this? I can tell you after a little background.

At the school I work at, there will be kids that have no motivation whatsoever when it comes to doing a form of school work. This can be understandable considering that some of the; okay most of the work is boring. And what kid wants to do work when they have all this technology at their fingertips. Distractions are everywhere. Anyway, they often have no motivation.

So what do I do. Something simple, because doing something complicated will only complicate things more. I am blatantly upfront about my own struggles with certain things that are similar to what they’re struggling with. This works miracles if I don’t have any personal stories I like to tell them stories of other people that beat the odds.

For example, I told one of my colleagues about being an author and my goal of writing 1000 words a day. She was so astonished that I kept with it. She was motivated to create a word goal of her own. Because she also is an author. Small world right.

There you have it, folks. My mission is to challenge and inspire you to challenge and inspire the people in your sphere of life.

Tell them about how your working on a project, speak about your goals. Voice your accomplishments and even your failings. Do this not in the, “I’m so great look at me type of way” rather the  “hey, I did it so can you kind of way.”

Be the person that lights up a room. Lantern-1.jpg

  1. Hey would you mind stating which blog platform you’re using? I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m having a tough time deciding between BlogEngine/Wordpress/B2evolution and Drupal. The reason I ask is because your design and style seems different then most blogs and I’m looking for something unique. P.S Sorry for getting off-topic but I had to ask!
