The big picture

Nearsighted – unable to see things clearly unless they are relatively close to the eyes, owing to the focusing of rays of light by the eye at a point in front of the retina

Isn’t it amazing how the eye’s work! It processes information quicker than a computer. But this post will not be about eyesight, it will be about figurative stuff. Nearsightedness and Farsightedness aren’t just a literal problem, they can be the thing that has you stuck in a metaphorical venus flytrap.

When your nearsighted all you see is the right now (problems, plans, projects, etc.). This is when your OCD-ing on a specific detail and can’t move forward in your vision because this slight misstep of something or other. Personally, that’s me on most days with any kind of project. It’s easy to get lost in the little things.

Short Answer: It doesn’t have to be perfect, just close to perfect.
