It’s now week five give or take and I’m so exited about my story. If you read my previous post 😅or should I say lack of posts that was why.

There’s a tough little lady I work with and she read one of my posts and said, “it was great!” Inspiration hit what my story needed was some of my personality.

Okay, this sounds super duper conceited but…

Your character are an extension of yourself. When you write a story with people, you imagine how they react to a certain scenario’s. You need to have empathy to feel other people’s pain and so on.

It’s what makes your characters more realistic. They’re not just ink on paper there living. Thay have a personality, and dreams. Don’t get intimidated to add a little of your flare to them.

How do you add a little extra sparkle? Good question that depends completely on you.

Each character is like a diamond in the rough, they have a back story that shaped them into who they are. That back story could be entwined with your own or it could be linked to someone you know. Or it could be of no relevance to you, just something you made up. But, often enough theres a hidden truth your trying to tell through it.
