Read? Read? Read?

Hello everybody,

Is it just me or is it hard to read? Lately, I’ve been struggling with this.  There was a time a long, long, ago when my nose was always submerged in a book. Since I’m no good at sports reading seemed like the answer. But ever since I’ve made a commitment to write regularly it hasn’t been the same.

Here are the things I find myself doing:

  1. can’t focus on the story at hand because, too busy comparing it to what I’m working on
  2. still can’t focus because the book has inspired a brilliant plan
  3. analyzing the writer’s style
  4. guessed the ending
  5. as I read can only think about one of two things, why am I not writing

You might struggle with this too.  One thing to think about is these problems are rooted in Comparison. And comparison is the thief of all joy.

Rather than comparing your manuscript or project look at it from a new perspective. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Don’t let your comparisons hold you back from reaching further up the ladder.

Thank you for still hanging around. I appreciate all the follows! 😄 The reasoning for my recent inconsistency is two jobs. But my schedule is finally at a steady pace. Thank you again!!!
