Hi everybody,

The other day I was asked about blogging. How to make a blog and so on. So today’s post is going to be on. Yup, creating a blog. Now I’m not going to pretend to know everything there is to know about blogging because Hey I started this year and it’s only been around four months. But I can tell you what I’ve learned thus far.

  • First things first your purpose.

Ask yourself, “what is the purpose of your blog?”

  • Second your domain name.

But before we go there, let’s look at what a domain name is. A domain name is a name for your site. It’s what identifies your site.

Think of it this way. It’s your first day of school and the teach is calling out names. She gets to yours and your last name happens to be Smart. With a last name of Smart your whole class will easily remember you.

Try to make it as simple and catchy as possible.

  • Third layout.

Make it fun, and easy to use. You can add a background image connect media the works. Give it personality.

  • Forth logo

Now this is optional you don’t necessarily need a logo. It is nice to have one, though because people will associate you with your logo. Here’s one site that can help you with this:

  • Fifth linking your media accounts

Now this is important! I can’t stress how important linking your media accounts is to building your blog or business. It makes it easy for you too. Now if you don’t know how to link your media account to your blog keep reading this bulletin if you already know how then go ahead and move along.

To link your accounts, you need to first go to the side bar and click on Customize button. It will take you to multiple options on customizing everything on your blog from your title to your sidebar. So click on the sidebar button. This will take you to a menu where you can add whatever widget you want. Now that you’re there go to your social icon widget and add all your account links.

That’s it.

  • Sixth blogging

Now that you’ve customized your blog, connected your links, etc. You need to start blogging. Let the rambling begin…

Just kidding now it’s time to blog. If you’re struggling with creating content, think back on your purpose. You know the thing that got you into creating a blog in the first place. What’s your message? Then write it.

  • Seventh obsessing over stats

Okay this is addicting if you get started on this your easily hooked. But your stats also tell you what works. If you’re trying to sell a product, teach a lesson, vent your frustration and want to know what people think this will tell you what they like.

If you’re anything like me it can also cause you to over think little things like do people really like what I’m dishing out. Or are they laughing as they read this.

  • Eight having fun

Don’t forget this simple three-letter word fun. Look at Jack all work and no play made him a very dull boy. So don’t be afraid to be a little silly and have some fun. Because if your constantly stressing you’ll get frowning lines and lose hair.

I prefer having smiling lines when I get older and my hair is way thinner than it used to be so I can’t afford to lose anymore thank you very much.

Besides stress and worry never gets anybody anywhere. Just makes way for more mistakes.

  • Ninth returning to number seven obsessing over stats!!!

Cause you can’t help it. Or at least I can’t help it.

  •  Tenth Consistency

Every cook Gordon Ramsay comes in contact with he always stresses multiple things, but one thing is instrumental when it comes to anything in life. Consistency. Consistency is key.

Be Consistent. Consistent. Consistent.

Most importantly thanking your audience for humoring your constant rambles of insanity.

With that thank you so much for reading, liking and following my blog. I’m humbled by it to be honest. I didn’t think I would have one follower let alone ninety something. You’re AWESOME!!!
