Hi everybody,
Lately I’ve found myself juggling work and writing. To everybody that knows the struggle, keep it up. I’m sorry I haven’t been on point as much lately.
nOW TO jUGGLING
When you work and blog or write stories its hard keeping a schedule so what can you do? Simple, discipline yourself. I mean it sounds simple, but that’s what needs to be done. It isn’t the most fun sometimes discipline can be out right boring and annoying. But, there is a silver lining if you keep at it.
You might have heard me say this before but consistency is key. Regardless of how you feel because feelings come and go. Keep at it. My word count goal for the series I’m working on is 1000 words a day. Because I know I can do it. There are days when I don’t want to but I have to. Because when you discipline yourself in this area you develop a habit when your consistent you create a lifestyle. Not quitting is key.
And if I don’t write 1000 words, say it’s only 500 that day it’s okay. There’s tomorrow when I’ll write 1500. With that being said don’t quit because you never know when you’re going to reap the rewards of your labor.
If you don’t believe me look at the potato farmers.
They plant potatoes with the expectancy that they will grow. The thing is on the surface you don’t see anything happening. All you see is dirt! Then one fine morning there are some sprouts shooting out of ground. And you know your crop will be ready to harvest soon. The thing is if you quit, how will you reap the fruit or in this case potato of your labor?
