Filter Perfect

Hello everyone,

Let’s take a look at being filter perfect. Filter perfect is when everything in your life is filtered. A great example of this is Snapchat there all sorts of cool filters on there that people used to take pictures of themselves or others.

As a side note, I have nothing against filters there cool.

Snapchat is a visual example of what we might believe about ourselves. On the highway of life we can get banged up every now and again. These scratched and dents can hold us back from moving. We could look at the mileage and decide we’ve gone too far, it’s too late to change, or your stuck on the side of the road immobile. You could be embarrassed about your appearance or past so you cover up and let people see only what you want them to see.

Just because you’ve been banged up a couple of times doesn’t mean you give up.  I’m not belittling what you’ve gone through or the setbacks in life. Everyone to some degree has been hurt some worse than others. Let those hurts, failures, rejections, betrayals be the key elements that make you stronger. Don’t be the Victim be the Victor.

In Japan they repair broken ceramics with a special lacquer mixed with gold, silver, or platinum. This is called Kintsugi (or kintsukuroi). The idea behind this belief is to recognize the history of the object. To visibly incorporate the repair. In my opinion, the new object is more beautiful than the original. It’s also more valuable.

Just like that ceramic object the highway of life can have a way of breaking us. But also like that ceramic object we can be put back together. And the finished process will make us better than we were before. So don’t let the issues of life hold you back any longer. Rather let them challenge you to grow stronger.

Disclaimer: If you read this and you have not gone through much. Please, don’t put yourself in a hurtful position in order to grow. You can grow without setbacks or through setbacks.
